Biographical Information

Second baseman Damon Burkhart is the brother of Morgan Burkhart and Lance Burkhart. Damon played in the independent Frontier League from 2001 through 2004. Debuting with brother Morgan's old Richmond Roosters club, Damon hit .285/?/.360 and stole a team-high 13 bases. In 2002, Damon batted .288/?/.420 for Richmond. He slipped badly after that, starting 2003 with a 1 for 14 rut for Richmond, then moving to the Cook County Cheetahs, where he only managed a .220/.322/.346 batting line. Moving to third base in 2004 for the Mid-Missouri Mavericks, he hit .186/.375/.302, though he scored 14 runs in 13 games.
