Biographical Information[edit]
Dae-hwan Lee has pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korean national team. In the 2001 Baseball World Cup, he had 4.76 ERA in four relief stints. He debuted in the KBO for the Hyundai Unicorns in 2002, allowing three runs in 13 innings. In 2003, Lee had a 2.66 ERA and went 1-0 in 13 games. In 2004, he saved one game and had a 4.98 ERA in 15 outings. 2005 saw him get regular work with 31 appearances; he was 5-3 but with a 5.31 ERA and 1.61 WHIP. Lee was South Korea's closer in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, going 0-1 with 2 saves and a 6.00 ERA. He took the loss against the Dutch national team, allowing 4 runs and 3 walks in one inning and saved wins over Team Canada and the Chinese national team.
Lee did not pitch in the KBO from 2006-2008.
