DSL Tigers/Giants

The Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants combined to field one Dominican Summer League team in 1989. They went 23-30 to finish 4th in the five-team southern division. The Giants would field a full DSL Giants squad in 1990, while the Tigers sent players to split squad teams in the DSL until sponsoring a full DSL Tigers team in 1994.
