The St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies shared a team in the Dominican Summer League for two years. The Cardinals had split teams in the DSL since 1989 and would have a full DSL Cardinals team in 1996. The Phillies began sponsorship in the DSL with a split team in 1993, and would likewise have a full DSL Phillies team in 1996.
