Biographical Information[edit]
Alfred "Cy" Ferry pitched four games in the majors. He also went 2-for-7 as a hitter.
Ferry was in the majors several years before his brother Jack Ferry.
He won 20 games for Buffalo in both 1902 and 1903. George Stallings, who had previously managed in the majors and who would later manage again at the major league level, was his manager both years.
His obituary in the New York Times credits him with discovering Ray Schalk while working as a scout.
