Biographical information[edit]
Cy Boothby was a minor league starting pitcher who won as many as 21 games in a season.
He played from 1910 to 1915 and again from 1921 to 1923, going at least 96-95 over the course of his nine-year career. Perhaps his best season was in 1921 with the Bay City Wolves, when he went 21-9 with a 2.37 ERA in 33 games.
He managed and was president of the Muskegon Reds in 1934. The league the Reds were in, the Michigan State League, folded on June 15. The team was only 4-9 at that time.
