Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Curt Gentry played in 18 games for the Detroit Tigers-affiliated Decatur Commodores in 1960, hitting .155/.246/.276 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI. He is more well-known for his football career, playing as a defensive back for the National Football League's Chicago Bears from 1966 to 1968. He later served as head football coach for Alabama A&M (1976) and Lincoln University of Missouri (1980).
