Biographical Information[edit]

Cromer Smotherman played both baseball and football at Middle Tennessee State College. He was inducted into the school's hall of fame in 1990.

He played three professional seasons (1948-1950) in the New York Yankees organization. He lead the Sooner State League in batting average in '48, hitting .347. His career averages are .298/?/.466.
