Biographical Information[edit]
Craig McMurtry was the first pitcher to give up a major league home run to Barry Bonds, on June 4, 1986 at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.
McMurtry was the pitching coach of the New Orleans Zephyrs in 1997. When Temple Junior College resurrected its baseball program in 1999 after a 21 year absence, McMurtry became the head coach.
