Craig McDonald played for the Swedish national team. He hit .219/.391/.313 with 9 walks and 8 runs in 8 games in the 1993 European Championship. He tied Marco Ubani for 3rd in the event in walks, tied for 6th with 3 doubles and led second basemen in fielding percentage (10 PO, 16 A, 0 E). He was Sweden's top hitter in the 1994 Baseball World Cup at .333/.481/.429 with 6 walks in 7 games. He handled 37 chances error-free at 2B. He led the team's starters in average (.033 ahead of Ove Johansson), OBP (.041 ahead of Johansson) and slugging (.029 ahead of Johansson).
He is almost definitely the player listed as Craig MacDonald who played second for Sweden in the 1995 European Championship, hitting .350/.480/.500 and fielding .966. He tied for 6th with three doubles.
