Craig Gibson has been a college coach.

Gibson was Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year as a first baseman in 1985. He was head coach at Jupiter Community High School (1990-1991), Suncoast Community High School (1992) and Palm Beach Gardens High School (1993). He was then assistant coach at his alma mater, Mercer, from 1994-2003. Promoted to head coach in 2004, he improved the team by nine games in his first year and by eight more in 2005 to go 28-26. In 2006, Mercer was 34-26, followed by 33 wins in 2007.
