Biographical Information[edit]

Cory Elasik was a catcher at Santa Fe College and Lynn University from 2010-2013. He graduated from Lynn in 2013 with a degree in international relations.

Elasik began his coaching career at Gatorball Baseball Academy where he served as director of player development & head catching instructor. He moved to high school coaching as the head coach of Trenton (FL) High School for the 2014/2015 season. In August 2015 Elasik joined St. Johns River State College as an assistant coach focused upon hitting. He stayed with the Vikings through 2019.

In 2020 the San Francisco Giants hired Elasik for a hitting coach position with the AZL Giants Orange before the coronavirus pandemic caused the minor league season to be cancelled. He was hitting coach of the Eugene Emeralds in 2021-2022, helping the team win back-to-back Northwest League championships. In 2022, the Emeralds led the League in runs (678), homers (163), RBIs (634), SLG (.411), and OPS (.741). Elasik moved up to the Richmond Flying Squirrels in 2023 and the Richmond offense set franchise records for runs scored (658), RBIs (604), walks (552), and games scoring 10+ runs (16). He returned to Richmond in 2024.
