In 1892, the Columbus Reds played in the short-lived 1892 edition of the Western League. They won the first half at 46-26 but the season never finished as the WL folded on July 11. A man named McClellan was hitting .302, second in the league. Ben Stephens led the league with 18 wins while Fritz Clausen (17-5) led in winning percentage.
