Biographical Information[edit]

Colton Eastman is a minor league baseball pitcher, and was formerly considered one of the best in NCAA Division I. He was drafted in the 15th round of the 2015 amateur draft by the Minnesota Twins, but he did not sign. Rather, he attended Cal State Fullerton, posting a 8-3 record with a 2.24 ERA his freshman campaign to earn Freshman All-American honors and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's Freshman Pitcher of the Year selection. In 2017, he went 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA in 9 games (7 starts) in an injury-shortened campaign. In 2018, he was 10-4, 2.37 in 17 strikeouts, averaging more than a K per inning. He won numerous honors and threw a no-hitter in his college career.

College Baseball Daily ranked him the #28 on their list of top 100 college prospects for 2018. He was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 4th round of the 2018 amateur draft and began his professional career that year. He was 0-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 8 starts for the Williamsport Crosscutters his first year, then 7-8, 3.71 between three teams in 2019. He didn't pitch in 2020. In 2021, he went 1-4, 3.33 in 15 games (11 starts), reaching Triple-A for the first time. He was 2-10, 4.63 in 25 games (24 starts), mostly at Triple-A LeHigh Valley. He moved to the Oakland Athletics chain for 2023.
