Biographical Information[edit]

The Baltimore Orioles drafted Collin Woody in the 38th round of the 2016 amateur draft from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and he played in their minor league system from 2016 to 2018. Defensively he split his time between third base and first base with a small number of games at other positions. Overall Woody hit .212/.308/.362 while appearing in 228 games as a hitter. In 2018 he also pitched one inning of relief.

After finishing his playing career Woody moved immediately into coaching with the Orioles. He was a player/coach in 2019 with the GCL Orioles. He was scheduled to be the fundamentals coach for the Frederick Keys in 2020 before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Woody served as the fundamentals coach for the FCL Orioles Black in 2021 and the FCL Orioles in 2022-2023. After the 2022 season he also worked as a coach for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League.

Woody became a manager with the Delmarva Shorebirds in 2024.
