Biographical Information[edit]

Collin Murray played college ball at McGill University and Elon University from 2015-2019. From the latter institution he earned degrees in both Sports Management and International Relations and Affairs. After graduation he worked as a sales executive for the Miami Marlins for the remainder of their 2019 season. The next year he joined the Los Angeles Angels organization as a minor league video manager with the Burlington (IA) Bees. He returned to college at Georgia Southern University for the 2020/2021 academic year and earned a master's degree in Communication and Leadership while simultaneously working as a graduate assistant coach with the baseball team. These efforts led to a baseball information assistant position with the Detroit Tigers in the summer of 2021. However, Murray only stayed with the Tigers for five months.

The Baltimore Orioles hired Murray to serve as the development coach for the Delmarva Shorebirds in 2022-2023. He moved back to the Tigers' chain as assistant pitching coach of the West Michigan Whitecaps in 2024.
