Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Cole White has played in the minor leagues since 2009 (through 2014).

He was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 30th round of the 2008 amateur draft, but did not sign. He did ink a contract after being taken by the Kansas City Royals in the 6th round of the 2009 amateur draft. He signed for a bonus of $100,000.

White began his career with a 1.67 ERA in 20 relief appearances for the Idaho Falls Chukars and Burlington Bees in 2009. The following year, he had a 0.00 mark in 6 games for the AZL Royals. He skidded the next few seasons, posting a 6.08 ERA in 2011, a 4.71 ERA in 2012 and a 3.97 ERA in 2013 - though he did have 19 saves that year. He was released by the Royals in May 2013 and signed with the Colorado Rockies.
