Biographical Information[edit]
Cody Kauffman has been a college coach.
He was team MVP as a high school senior, then hit .333/.429/.500 in limited time as a freshman at UMass but was only 5-for-34 as a sophomore. [1] Transferring to Franklin Pierce, he hit .264/.339/.321 as a junior and tied for second in the Northeast-10 Conference with 11 sacrifice hits. He set the school record for HBP (17) in 2010 and tied for 28th in the nation. He batted .311/.387/.436 with 11 steals and was second in the Northeast-10 in assists (154). [2]
Kauffman later was minor league video coordinator for the Chicago Cubs, assistant coach at Merrimack College, Franklin Pierce University and UMass Lowell before becoming head coach for Rhode Island College for 2024. [3] He also coached for the US women's national team in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup. [4]
