Biographical Information[edit]
First baseman Clyde Anheier played in the minor leagues at age 18 in 1911, then didn't play again until 1921. He then played until 1926, inluding a brief stint (three games) with the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League. Perhaps his best campaign was 1924 with the Austin Rangers, when he hit .294 with 11 home runs, 136 hits and 36 doubles in 124 games. He was the initial of two managers of the Amarillo Gassers in 1923, being replaced by Skinny Moore.
