Biographical Information

First baseman Clint Weaver played in the minor leagues from 1949 to 1954 and in 1956. He had three seasons of particular note, 1950, 1951 and 1953. In 1950, he hit .359 with a .684 slugging percentage, 36 home runs, 28 doubles and 11 triples in 121 games between the Twin Falls Cowboys and McAlester Rockets. He paced the Sooner State League in batting average (.377) and slugging (.745). In 1951, he hit .256/.327/.474 with 24 home runs and 86 RBI in 138 games for the Binghamton Triplets in 1953, he hit .354/.449/.572 with 18 home runs, 101 RBI and 157 hits in 122 games for the Edmonton Eskimos. He hit 22 home runs with 82 RBI in 126 games his final season.

Overall, Weaver hit at least 128 home runs and had at least 442 RBI in 827 games over 7 seasons.

Prior to playing in the minors, Weaver spent two years in the Navy. He played outfield for a team called the South Gate Reds prior to signing with the Yankees per the 5/24/49 Ventura County Star.
