Biographical Information[edit]
Clint Coulter was a 2012 first-round pick.
Coulter won a state wrestling title in high school in addition to showing good power at catcher. The Milwaukee Brewers took him 27th overall in the 2012 amateur draft, the first of three first-rounders they selected that year. The other two went to fellow sluggers Victor Roache and Mitch Haniger. The pick was compensation for the loss of another power bat, Prince Fielder, to free agency. Coulter signed for a bonus just over $1.6 million and made his pro debut for the AZL Brewers on June 21st. Hitting second and playing DH, he went 0 for 4 in a 13-1 loss to the AZL Dodgers.
