Biographical Information[edit]
In the longest game in baseball history, Cliff Speck entered in the 33rd inning with the bases loaded and no out. He replaced Steve Grilli and was the sixth pitcher for the Rochester Red Wings. He faced one batter, Dave Koza, who singled in the winner on a 2-2 count.
Speck was drafted in the 1st round of the 1974 amateur draft, but waited 12 years before making his major league debut with his fifth organization.
