Biographical Information[edit]

Claude Marcum played in the minor leagues on-and-off from 1889 to 1902. Per records available, perhaps his best campaign was 1895, when he hit .298 with 136 hits and 27 doubles in 110 games for the St. Joseph Saints.

He managed the Joplin Miners to begin 1902, but was replaced by someone known as Wichizer. He also skippered Joplin-Webb City Miners/Guthrie Senators/Henryetta Boosters in 1914.
