Biographical Information[edit]

Chun-Yu Su pitched in the CPBL for 5 years.

Su was drafted by the Lamigo Monkeys in the fifth round of the 2015 CPBL Draft, and he stayed in the minor leagues for his first two seasons. He only pitched 5 games in this period, and he allowed 19 runs in 15 1/3 innings combined. Su was 3-2 with a 4.12 ERA in 2018, and he started a career-high 10 games. He pitched 1/3 of a shutout inning in the 2018 Taiwan Series Game 2, and he allowed a run in 2/3 of an inning in Game 3. The Monkeys beat the Uni-President Lions in 5 games, and Su won his only Taiwan Series title. He was placed in the minor league again in the next three seasons, and he only pitched 3 games in 2019 (allowing 11 runs in 4 innings). He recorded a 5.30 ERA in 14 relief outings in 2022, and he announced his retirement after the 2023 season.

Overall, Su was 4-7 with a 6.13 ERA, struck out 70 and pitched 101 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
