Charles Nathan Roys

Biographical Information[edit]

Charles Roys played for Team USA and was a college coach.

He was head coach at the US Army base at Fort Lee in 1962-1963. He started at catcher for Team USA when they won Silver at the 1963 Pan American Games. He was head coach of Lyndon State College (1963-1965), Virginia Military Institute (1968-1969) and Springfield College (1979-1996), winning 323-295-5 games at Springfield including a team-record 28 in 1994. He took the team to the 1994 Division II College World Series. He was assistant coach at Amherst College from 1997-1999.
