Biographical Information[edit]
Chuck Corgan was a two sport athlete, playing baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers and winning a championship with the 1927 New York football Giants. After the 1927 football season, he was diagnosed with cancer which took his life in June 1928 at 25. Corgan and his contemporary, Willis Hudlin, are the only two major leaguers (through 2019) born in Wagoner, OK. His brother, Roy, played and managed in the minor leagues for many seasons. Another brother, Marsh Corgan, played briefly in the minors.
