Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Saenz was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 28th round of the 2001 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Brian Johnson and made his pro debut that summer.

Saenz was called up from AA ball to make an emergency start on April 24, 2004. He did a great job, holding the St. Louis Cardinals to 2 hits over 6 innings for his first major-league victory. He suffered a major arm injury later in the 2004 season, however, and underwent Tommy John surgery in September. In December 2004, he was non-tendered, making him a free agent. He never returned to the big leagues, making his one start the lone game of his career and leaving him with an unspoiled career ERA.
