Chris Prothro was a college coach.
He was assistant at North Iowa Community College in 2006 and at Nicholls State University from 2007-2015. He then was assistant at the University of South Alabama from 2016-2020. He was head coach at Eastern Kentucky University from 2021-2024, stepping down March 25 for medical reasons. His 38 wins in 2022 were the school's most since 1990.
