Biographical Information[edit]
Chris Lindsay was the regular first baseman on the 1905 Detroit Tigers and the 1906 Detroit Tigers. He was a rookie on the team in 1905, as was Ty Cobb.
Lindsay had played semi-pro ball for several years before coming to the majors, and after 1906 went back to the minors because (it is said) he got a better offer. He broke an ankle and retired in 1913.
After baseball he was a carpenter and contractor.
He lived his whole life in or near Monaca, PA, other than when he was playing baseball.
