Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Chris Jensen was a 6th round selection by the Colorado Rockies out of the University of San Diego in the 2011 amateur draft. He made his professional debut that same year, making 8 starts for the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Northwest League. His record was 2-1, 2.65 in 37 1/3 innings. he moved up to the Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League in 2012 and had more good results, going 12-3, 4.28 in 25 starts. He pitched 145 innings and struck out 95 batters. he moved up to the California League in 2013 and went 5-8, 4.55 in 28 starts for the Modesto Nuts. He pitched 152 1/3 innings, walked 39 but struck out 136, showing some potential for improvement.

On December 10, 2013, Jensen was traded to the Oakland Athletics along with Drew Pomeranz in return for veteran Brett Anderson.
