Biographical Information[edit]

The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted Chris Jacobs in the 17th round of the 2007 amateur draft from high school and he played in their minor league system from 2007 to 2014. He spent the next two years with the Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals organizations. Jacobs reached AAA in 2015 with the Charlotte Knights for 15 games. In his ten minor league seasons he played first base almost exclusively and hit .263/.357/.450. Jacobs played for another three years in the independent leagues ending his career with the 2019 Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

One source indicates that Jacobs returned to the RedHawks as Director of Quality Control but it is not clear when this might have occurred. In 2021 he served as the Player Development Coach for the Pulaski River Turtles in the revamped Appalachian League. Jacobs returned to affiliated baseball in 2022 when the New York Mets hired him as the Syracuse Mets Development Coach. He was then bench coach of the FCL Mets in 2023 and outfield coordinator for the same club in 2024.
