Biographical Information[edit]
Chris Gomez manned second and short for Team USA in the 1990 Baseball World Cup, batting .500/.526/.806 with 11 runs and 11 RBI in 9 games. He was unable to make the tournament All-Star team, though he tied Brent Gates and Jorge Fabregas for fourth in average behind Orestes Kindelan, Shinichi Sato and Omar Linares. He also played for the US in the 1990 Goodwill Games and 1991 Pan American Games.
