Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Chris Gloor played in the San Francisco Giants system from 2009 to 2013.

He was originally drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 39th round of the 2008 amateur draft, but did not sign. He was then taken by the Giants in the 17th round of the 2009 draft and did ink a contract.

Gloor suited up for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 2009, going 7-1 with a 2.61 ERA in 17 games (7 starts). In 2010, he was 4-2 with 2 saves and a 2.65 ERA in 44 relief appearances for the Augusta Greenjackets. He struck out 73 batters in 68 innings. He pitched for the AZL Giants (5 G, 1-1 W-L, 8.44 ERA), Salem-Keizer (12 G, 1-0 W-L, 2.45 ERA) and San Jose Giants (1 G, 1-0 W-L, 0.00 ERA) in 2011 and went 3-1 with a 3.34 ERA in 18 games overall. He had 36 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings.

The hurler joined the Richmond Flying Squirrels for the first time in 2012 and went 4-5 with a 2.81 ERA in 32 games (13 starts). Returning to Richmond for 2013, Gloor finished at 9-7 with a 4.03 ERA in 26 starts, with only 41 walks in 156 1/3 innings.
