Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Flammang was drafted by the Seattle Mariners from Sierra High School in Tollhouse, CA in the 22nd round of the 1978 Amateur Draft. He would primarily appear as an outfielder in the minors but played first base as well. He began his career spending both the 1979 and 1980 seasons playing in High-A with the San Jose Missions. In 1981 he split time between the Double-A Lynn Sailors and Triple-A Spokane Indians where he struggled. He appeared in only 48 games in 1982 with the Lynn Sailors, and in 57 games in 1983 with the Bakersfield Mariners, going back to the Class A California League, where he struggled to have the same success he had found just a few years before. Flammang finished his career after 1983, having played 5 seasons professionally.
