Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Chris Epps has played in the Houston Astros minor league system since 2011 (through 2014).

He was originally drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 28th round of the 2007 amateur draft - a few picks ahead of pitcher Seth Rosin - but opted not to sign. He inked a contract after the Astros took him in the 45th round of the 2011 amateur draft.

In 2013, the first year he played 100 or more games, he hit .275/.381/.503 with 32 doubles, 16 home runs, 75 RBI and 78 runs scored in 115 games for the Lancaster JetHawks. He began 2014 with the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks.
