Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Chip Maxwell was drafted by the Washington Senators in the first round, 14th overall, of the 1970 amateur draft. He spent five seasons in the minor leagues and even reached Triple-A in 1973, though he never played at the major league level. His sole campaign at Triple-A might have been his best—in 93 games for the Spokane Indians, he hit .244/.304/.305 with a career-high 76 hits in 312 at-bats.

Overall, he hit .242/.305/.318 with 13 home runs and 128 RBI in 350 games.
