Biographical Information[edit]

Chih-Hsiang Huang is a former minor league infielder.

Huang was signed by Jon Deeble of the Boston Red Sox in March 2006. He debuted as a pro with the 2006 GCL Red Sox, hitting only .125/.192/.208 in 26 games. In 2007, he improved to .207/.273/.276 with 9 errors in 34 games for the GCL Red Sox. He fielded only .824 at third base. In his third season with the GCL Sox, he batted .248/.344/.383 while moving to first base. The Red Sox released him and he was picked up by the Brother Elephants in the 2nd round of the 2008 CPBL Draft, one round after they took former big leaguer Chin-Hui Tsao.

Huang debuted on Opening Day of the 2009, playing right field and going 0 for 3 while hitting 7th. He ended up hitting .299/.367/.356 in his rookie year. The Brothers then traded him to the La New Bears for Shih-Hao Huang. However, Huang didn't have many chances with the Bears, and he only played 6 games combined with the big club in the next two seasons. Although he hit .323/.422/.497 and led the minor league in walks and homers, Huang still announced his retirement after the 2011 season.

Overall, Huang hit .206/.286/.305 in 6 seasons in the CPBL and the minor league.
