Biographical Information[edit]

Chih-Chiang Chang played in the CPBL for 3 years.

Chang was drafted by the CTBC Brothers in the fifth round of the 2014 CPBL Draft, but he spent his first four seasons in the minor leagues, only having 43 at-bats combined. He hit .329/.394/.390 there in 2015, and he won the minor league batting title. Chang was their main backup shortstop in 2018, and he hit .240/.287/.260 in 36 games. The Brothers then placed him in the minor league again in the next two seasons, and he only played 23 games with the big club. He was 0-for-2 in the 2020 Taiwan Series, and the Uni-President Lions beat the Brothers in 7 games. After hitting .196/.288/.283 in 50 games in 2021, Chang announced his retirement and became the minor league fielding coach of the Brothers.

Overall, Chang had hit .228/.298/.268 with 52 hit in 8 seasons in the CPBL.
