Biographical Information[edit]

Chien-Te Fang pitched in the CPBL for 3 years.

Fang was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the 5th round of the 2018 CPBL Draft, and he had a 4.33 ERA in 31 games in the minors in 2019. He also pitched 10 games with the big club, but his ERA was 7.24. He only pitched 2 more games with the big club after his rookie year. Fang then went 8-4 with a 6.00 ERA in 2020, and he was 1-2 with a 4.10 ERA in 2021. He improved to a 2.35 ERA in 18 games in 2022, then he recorded a 4.81 ERA in 26 games in 2023. The Lions released Fang after the 2023 season, and his professional career ended.

Fang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 91.3 mph), curveball and sinker.

Overall, Fang was 0-2 with a 11.42 ERA, pitched 17 1/3 innings and struck out 7 in 3 seasons in the CPBL.
