Chico Heat (Summer Collegiate)

The Chico Heat were a short lived summer collegiate baseball team that played their games at Nettleton Stadium in Chico, CA. They were named after the independent Western Baseball League Chico Heat but had no relation other than the team name. The Heat were inaugural members in the Great West League where they played from 2016-2018. In their three year stint they won the league twice; 2016, & 2018. In October 2018, the team announced they were ceasing operations due to the GWL folding following the conclusion of the 2018 summer season.
