Biographical Information[edit]
Chet Boak played major league ball in 1960 and 1961. In ten games, split evenly between the Kansas City A's and Washington Senators, he was 2-for-20 with an RBI and a stolen base. An article [1] about the Shreveport Sports ballclub indicates that Chet was Lou Klimchock's successor at second base with the Sports in 1960, and had an all-star season. He was then not only called up to the majors but picked in the ensuing expansion draft that winter by the Sens. He worked as a mold maker after baseball, and died of a heart attack while hunting.
