Wang represented Taiwan in the 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup (batting .167/.286/.389) and 2018 World University Championship (.353/.429/.412). The CTBC Brothers took him in the sixth round of the 2018 CPBL Draft, and he mainly stayed in the minor leagues for his first four seasons, only playing 20 games combined with the big club. He hit .321/.374/.493 with 4 homers in 2021, and he led the minor league with 28 RBI. Wang finally broke out in 2023, hitting .303/.382/.440 with 10 doubles. Had he qualified, he would've ranked 6th in batting, between Tzu-Hsien Chan and Chih-Chieh Su.
