Biographical Information[edit]

Charleton Jimerson had a brief, but successful, major league career. He had four cups of coffee from 2005 to 2008, playing in no more than 17 games in a season. Usually used as a pinch runner and defensive replacement, Jimerson had just 9 career at-bats -- and collected 4 hits, including 2 home runs, while scoring 8 runs and stealing 4 bases. He batted .444, had a 1.111 slugging percentage and 1.556 OPS.

He was never much of a hitter in the minors, however, batting just .248 on the farm; he did steal 231 bases at that level, and with the independent Newark Bears in 2009, he hit .335 with 21 home runs and 38 stolen bases in 103 games.
