Charlie Wride

Biographical Information

Charlie Wride has had a decades-long association with the Auburn Doubledays and its various Auburn, NY predecessors in the New York-Penn League. Wride has served in various capacities including board member, public address announcer, public relations, umpire attendant, and team historian.

Wride has also served as league historian for the New York-Penn League since the late 1980s or early 1990s.

Honors and Awards

• Wride was inducted into the Auburn Community Baseball Wall of Fame in August 2007 in an on-field, pre-game ceremony at Leo Pinckney Field at Falcon Park.
