Biographical Information

Catcher Charlie Welch was taken by the Seattle Mariners in the 19th round of the 2021 amateur draft; his signing bonus was $125,000. With the ACL Mariners in 2021, he hit .348/.466/.587 with 3 home runs, 13 RBI and 10 walks in 20 games. He began 2022 with the High-A Everett AquaSox. He batted. 209 and .207 in 2022 and 2023, respectively, and voluntarily retired in 2024. He peaked at High-A.
