Biographical Information[edit]
Charlie Snow was one of nine players used by the 1874 Brooklyn Atlantics in their 55 games that year. Snow, who is part of the immortal 1.000 club for getting a hit in his only at-bat, made three errors in the field. Of course, playing catcher in those days was no treat, with most catchers taking a true beating from the balls in those days before protective equipment.
One observer on the web chose him as having the most unique baseball career in that he was perfect as a hitter and horrid as a catcher.
