Charlie Muirhead

Charlie Muirhead was a native of Canada who promoted baseball in Great Britain from 1918-1934. Muirhead arrived in Europe as a Canadian soldier during World War I. He started teams and leagues, was a radio broadcaster and set up exhibitions against Japanese and US teams. He was secretary of the Anglo-American Baseball Association though by 1939, he was skeptical about baseball's future in Britain. He made the British Baseball Hall of Fame in 2023.
