Biographical Information[edit]
Charlie French played for the Boston Red Sox in 1909 and 1910 and for the Chicago White Sox, also in 1910.
With the Red Sox, he was the same age as Eddie Cicotte and four years older than Tris Speaker.
Charlie was born in Indianapolis, IN and played several seasons for minor league teams in the vicinity, such as Evansville, Vincennes and Clinton. After his days in the majors he played for Montreal, Denver, Salt Lake City and Indianapolis.
He managed at Lafayette in 1920.
