Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman Charles Walsh played in the minor leagues from 1926 to 1932. He hit .322 with 91 hits in 72 games for the Lewiston Twins his first year, then batted .296 with 190 hits and 34 doubles in 152 games for the Pittsfield Hillies in 1927. He had a career year in 1928, hitting .329 with 224 hits, 46 doubles, 12 triples and 303 total bases in 163 games for the Reading Keystones in 1928. He never hit above .275 after that. He managed the Wilmington Pirates for part of 1932, replacing Peahead Walker, who himself had replaced Hal Weafer.
