Biographical Information[edit]

Chao-Ching Wan pitched in the CPBL for 2 years.

Wan represented Taiwan in the 2014 U-15 Baseball World Cup. He was drafted by the Lamigo Monkeys in the 4th round of the 2017 CPBL Draft, but he only pitched one game in the minors in 2018. He was 2-4 with a 5.52 ERA in 2019, then he went 3-5 with a 8.72 ERA in 2020. Wan also pitched 4 games with the big club in 2020, but his ERA was 9.39. He then had a 3.50 ERA in 22 games in the minors in 2021, and he recorded a 3.32 ERA in 22 appearances in 2022. Wan was turned into a batter in 2023, and he hit .113/.217/.132 in the minors. The Monkeys released him after the 2023 season.

Wan’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 91.9 mph) and curveball.

Overall, Wan was 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA, pitched 12 innings and struck out 13 in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
